WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INITIAL VISIT?

Dr. Spirt leaves 1.5 hours for an initial consultation. During that time she will review the new patient forms you filled out, any medical records you bring with you, and conduct a psychiatric interview focusing on determining a differential diagnosis, and an individual treatment plan. Although Dr. Spirt is a psychopharmacologist she does not believe everyone needs  psychiatric medication. At times, she will give you additional symptom scales to fill out to determine the best treatment options for you.
